Munich, December 13, 2023. Fintech company Rubean AG (Symbol: R1B:ETR, ISIN: DE0005120802, WKN: 512080, Munich) has successfully implemented the major project of the Spanish Post “Correos” in a strategic partnership with NTT DATA Spain S.L.U. within four months. In a significant initial step, the first 12,000 Correos mobile devices were equipped and activated with the Rubean point-of-sale application fully automatically within a week. The next rollout of an additional 15,000 Rubean apps is planned for January 2024.
At the recipient’s doorstep, postal workers and package delivery personnel scan the customer’s package, check if a payment is due, and simply allow the customer to make a contactless payment with their bank card using the mobile scanner.
Rubean receives a monthly base fee for the activated terminals and earns additional revenue from each transaction conducted.
