- Implementation and deployment of the Rubean solution at GLS in record time
- Rubean and GLS Spain are enhancing parcel delivery with an advanced tap-to-pay solution on the mobile devices of the delivery drivers
Munich, October 30, 2023. Rubean AG, a fintech company, and GLS Spain, a leading Spanish parcel delivery provider, have implemented the Rubean PhonePOS solution for the mobile GLS logistics application used by 5,000 drivers for parcel delivery across the country.
Dr. Hermann Geupel, CEO of Rubean AG, says, “We are delighted to collaborate with the Spanish GLS team and to have helped them integrate our solution in record time for Black Friday and the holiday campaigns. PhonePOS was designed to meet our customers’ needs for a short time-to-market.”
The Rubean app is a purely software-based and FULL-SDK-certified card acceptance solution for mobile phones, tablets, and handheld devices. It is also referred to as softPOS and allows the driver to accept card payments on the device already in use instead of carrying and accepting cash. The easier and faster way to accept payments at the door, integrated into the financial and logistics systems of GLS Spain, enhances efficiency.
Roberto Martínez, CFO of GLS, adds, “The Black Friday and Christmas campaigns are a challenge for us due to the high volume of eCommerce purchases, but also an opportunity to continue providing our customers with high-quality service and a good user experience. Thanks to the solution developed in collaboration with Rubean, deliveries will now be more flexible, the delivery drivers will be able to accept quick card payments, and the receiving experience will be even more satisfying with the new solution.”
