Munich, September 8, 2022. Direct Parcel Distribution CZ s.r.o. (DPD CZ), a subsidiary of the DPD Group, one of Europe’s leading parcel delivery companies, is now implementing Rubean AG’s softPOS solution, (ISIN: DE0005120802, WKN: 512080), Munich-based provider of software-based payment acceptance solutions, in the Czech Republic. This marks the first-ever use of a softPOS solution by a parcel delivery company in the Czech Republic. The Rubean complete solution GetPAYD will be used on Zebra handheld computers to accept cash-on-delivery payments or acknowledge package deliveries. The Rubean solution is expected to be deployed on approximately 5,000 devices. A few days ago, TIPSA, the Spanish subsidiary of DPDGroup, announced the first use of the Rubean software in Spain. DPDgroup is a group of international courier-express-parcel service providers under the umbrella of GeoPost, owned by the French La Poste.
In the Czech Republic, Global Payments Europe, a subsidiary of Global Payments Inc., the acquiring partner of Rubean for Central and Eastern Europe and one of the world’s leading payment service providers, supports the payment processing. The Rubean solution, which complies with all security standards in the payment industry, is particularly popular in the logistics sector. This solution, jointly developed by Rubean and Global Payments for the Czech market, efficiently solves the problem of card payments for parcel deliveries without the need for an additional device. The Rubean solution can be adapted to any business environment beyond the logistics sector that requires mobile payment solutions.
